Ground8

Terms of Use

Last updated: August 29, 2026

These terms cover what we build for you, what you pay, and who owns what. We have kept them short and in plain language on purpose — they are still a binding agreement between you and Ground8.

1. What Ground8 does

Ground8 designs, builds, and hosts simple websites for solo therapists and psychologists in private practice. You answer our briefing form in your own words; we draft your site from those answers, a human reviews and refines every line, and then we test and launch it.

2. The one-time payment

The one-time fee covers the design and build of your site, including one full revision round. If you want more revisions after that, we will quote the work before anything begins — no surprise charges, ever.

3. The monthly payment

The monthly payment covers hosting, updates, and ongoing support. You can cancel at any time; the plan simply runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not lock you in and we do not do cancellation hoops.

4. Your content, your site

You own your website — the content and the files. You can download your site files whenever you like and take them wherever you like. If you stop paying for hosting, your site goes offline, but the files remain yours.

By submitting content to us (text, images, files), you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.

5. Your professional responsibility

Your website speaks about your practice, so it stays your responsibility. This means you are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of your credentials, services, and fees;
  • Meeting the professional and ethical rules that apply to you in your jurisdiction;
  • Not sharing anything in the briefing that would breach a client's confidentiality.

We will flag obvious issues during our human review, but the final words on your site are yours.

6. What Ground8 is not

Ground8 provides website design and hosting. We do not provide therapy, legal advice, or compliance advice, and we do not guarantee client outcomes, search rankings, or business results. Our checks for therapeutic-ethics wording are a good-faith review, not a legal certification.

7. Timelines

We work on reasonable-effort timelines and will keep you informed along the way. Dates we mention are estimates, not guarantees — real work occasionally collides with real life.

8. Refunds

If you have not yet completed the briefing form, you can cancel and receive a full refund of the one-time payment. Once the briefing is complete and the build has begun, the one-time payment is non-refundable, because the work has been done. Monthly fees are refundable pro-rata only if we fail to deliver the service.

9. Starting and stopping

You can cancel the monthly plan at any time (section 3). We can suspend or end the service if you do not pay, or if your site is used for anything unlawful. If we ever end the service for reasons other than your breach or non-payment, we will give you notice and a reasonable window to download your files.

10. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Ground8 is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost income or clients), and our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
